SPHERONIZER – NIRO AEROMATIC - S-320

The design of the NIRO Spheronizer is characterized by a horizontal rotating wheel with a special friction pattern on its upper surface, which rotates inside a cylindrical bowl. This system allows grouping of extrudates similar to spaghetti and crushing them into short sections, transforming them into perfect spheres.

The choice of the NIRO S-320 Spheronizer is motivated by its ability to control the dimensional distribution and surface characteristics of the spheres. These parameters are influenced by batch size, speed, processing time, and characteristics of the extruded mass. Furthermore, the patented "smooth edge" on the friction wheel eliminates the "milling" of the pellets, ensuring a narrow dimensional distribution.

For optimal continuous production, the S-320 can be combined with upstream and downstream equipment, forming an extremely compact and flexible system. It is often integrated with the E-140 extruder, creating a combination of machines that offers a market-leading solution for pilot-scale pellet production.
