TYPE OF MACHINE: The machine checks hard capsules filled by meticulously inspecting pharmaceutical or nutraceutical products. The unit allows for the accurate inspection of the appearance of the capsules performed by color linear cameras with the subsequent immediate ejection from the production line through an appropriate rejection system, should any anomalies on the product be detected by the machine itself.

FEATURES: This Qualicaps inspection machine combines computer image processing technology and a CCD line sensor camera with the capsule grinding-transfer mechanism. The appearance of the capsule is inspected by direct image acquisition with the camera, controlling its orientation and rotating the capsule during intermittent transfer. The reduced footprint of the installation allows for direct connection to a filler, and the filler can be controlled based on the percentage of defects detected. The inspection is fast and highly accurate. The multi-row rotary grinding system is used to control the direction and stop the rotation of the capsules for inspection at a productivity of 50,000 capsules per hour, resulting in high inspection accuracy without blind spots. The grinding and transport mechanism of the capsules, which has already proven efficient in filling and sealing machines, provides gentle feeding of the capsules and stable inspection accuracy, enabling operator-free operation. The following defects can be detected: foreign bodies, dirt, tears, broken capsules, chips, perforations, crushes, cracks, dents, double capsules, folds of the capsule, tears (non-articulated capsules), dissimilar, unprinted capsules, length and printing defects. The grinding of the capsules is performed by the multi-line rotary grinding equipment. Thanks to the grinding, the accuracy of inspection and high-speed image processing has become possible, which is superior in terms of stability and reliability. The ground capsules are transferred to the inspection drum that rotates intermittently at high speed. With parallel lighting, it is possible to carry out highly accurate and reliable inspections without blind spots. Defective capsules are discharged from the inspection drum by intermittent rotation using compressed air. The graphic panel is standard equipped, and the current operation and inspection can be controlled by camera, line by line in real time. The installed format is as follows: '1'.
